Kulturroute Alternativroute: Etappe 9b Peine - Hildesheim

You start the tour with the sights of the beautiful town of Peine. Start with a visit to BrauManufaktur Härke right in the city center after booking in advance. Now follow the 66-metre-high spire of St. Jakobi Church. Take a look inside and at the impressive paintings. Continuing through the city center, you will reach the Burgpark directly at the historic market square. Peine Marketing, the tourist information office in Peine city center, also offers great information. Very close to the castle park, you will come across the district museum. The Peine District Museum tells the history and stories of the town and region of Peine. With the museum treasure hunt, families can take an interactive rally through the museum free of charge and without registration! Before you leave Peine, visit the factory outlet at JR - Die Schokoladenfabrik. Sample the delicious chocolate varieties. Refreshed, you can now set off for Lake Eixer See. From Lake Eixer See, head north past the Glindbruchkippe glider airfield. Here the Mittelland Canal becomes your companion and you can already see the steaming chimneys of the Mehrum power station; fields as far as the eye can see - this is the Hildesheim Börde.
