Old mill

A mill was mentioned in Eschershausen as early as 1197/98. This is the only known watermill in Eschershausen to date. The miller Pape closed the mill in 1879. The water from the salt and mill stream was needed for the town's water pipeline, which was laid in 1878/79.

Mineral water outdoor pool

In 1928, the municipal baths were inaugurated as a modern swimming pool at the "Alte Mühle". This newly built bathing establishment was named "Schwimm- und Luftbad Herrenbrunnen", after a bathhouse that stood here at the Herrenbrunnen until 1922. On 01.08.1965, the new outdoor pool that still exists today was inaugurated on this site. Since 1968, the pool has borne the rare name "Mineral Water Outdoor Pool".
