Jewish museum and cultural workshop in historic half-timbered barn

The Cohn Barn Jewish Museum in Rotenburg shows the history of the Jewish inhabitants of the region, especially the Cohn family from the 18th century through the Holocaust and exile to the present day.

In the permanent exhibition, you can continue your research using touch screens. In the seminar room, exhibits on Jewish religion and culture are on display and explained via tablet. Lectures, readings, films, workshops and special exhibitions are also on offer (see website).

The building has been faithfully restored to its original location and was previously the Cohn family's tailor's workshop.
