The route starts in Adenstedt and continues to Groß Lafferde, past Bettmar, on to Münstedt, Oberg, Groß Ilsede and Groß Bülten and finally through the Lahwald forest back to Adenstedt.

The 27.5 km route leads past many fields and you have the opportunity to swim a lap in the Vechelde-Bettmar natural outdoor pool. The bathing lake is idyllically situated in the middle of nature. You can also immerse yourself in history, as a stone on the Pisserbach stream symbolizes the former border between the Kingdom of Hanover and the Duchy of Braunschweig.

We start at the Waldgaststätte Odinshain on the edge of the Lahwald forest in Adenstedt.

We cycle along the road "Am Odinshain" and "Mühlenfeldstraße" to the district road 29, cross it and cycle along the cycle path (concrete) in the direction of Gadenstedt. We pass the Lauenthaler Mühle mill and cross the Fuhse. At the next opportunity, we turn right onto the asphalt field path. At the next opportunity, we turn left and head east over the concrete track. We cross the railroad line of Verkehrsbetriebe Peine-Salzgitter GmbH and reach "Steinbrücker Weg". Here we turn right. We follow the asphalt road southwards and turn left onto the asphalt path at the next but one opportunity. At the end of this road, we reach the B444 federal highway, where we turn right onto the asphalt cycle path and reach Groß Lafferde. We cross the main road at the pedestrian crossing and cycle along "Goethestraße" to the end. The last section is unpaved (gravel) but easy to cycle on. Then we turn right onto "Münstedter Weg" and reach the Bundesstraße 1. We cross the Bundesstraße and follow the new asphalt cycle path to the left in the direction of Vechelde. This cycle path is wonderful to cycle on. We pass the trout pond, cross the large "Weißes Kreuz" crossroads and reach Bettmar. If you like, you can use this opportunity to do some shopping at the Kirchner country butcher's shop. Otherwise we make our way back straight away. Just before the village sign, turn left onto the access road ("Münstedter Straße") to Naturfreibad Vechelde-Bettmar. The first section is asphalted. The unpaved section begins near the forest. We stay on this path and reach the Pisserbach stream. A viewpoint has been created here on an old tree stump. A small rest area has been set up directly in front of the Pisserbach. We cross the Pisserbach. This used to be the border between the Kingdom of Hanover and the Duchy of Brunswick. A stone still reminds us of this. It gets a little narrow on the other side. The narrow path must be followed carefully. We follow the path in the direction of Münstedt. After a short stretch, the surface changes to asphalt. We reach Münstedt. We cross the town via the streets "Am Bahnhof", "Löwenstraße", "Behmestraße" and "Oberger Straße". This brings us to the cycle path towards Oberg. We cycle along the concrete cycle path to Oberg.

We cross the village of Oberg in a straight line via the newly built through road ("Münstedter Weg", "Oberger Hauptstraße" and "Ilseder Weg"). We reach the cycle path towards Groß Ilsede. We cycle along this concrete cycle path into the village of Groß Ilsede. Shortly before the B444, we turn right into Poststraße and cycle through to the large traffic light junction. Here we cross the B 444 at a safe place and cycle in the direction of Ölsburg ("Eichstraße"). After the Fuhse, we turn right into "Schäferstraße". We cycle almost as far as the Ölsburg sports field. We turn left into the street "Am Tagebau" and reach the street "Schönebeck" in Groß Bülten. We reach the Schmidt flower store and turn left into "Solschener Straße". Take care when turning off at this busy spot. After a few meters, we turn right into "Gerhard-Lukas-Straße". Via "Veilchenhöhe" we reach the Adenstedter Lahwald. The last section of the road is gravel. Through the Lahwald forest, we reach the Odinshain forest restaurant and have reached the end of this tour.

The Lahwald forest near Adenstedt is home to one of the few burial mound fields in Lower Saxony that have been preserved on loess areas from the Bronze Age. The burial mounds have only been preserved in areas that have been used for forestry since the Middle Ages.
In Groß Lafferde, we recommend visiting the tower built in 1911. For a long time, this tower supplied the inhabitants of Groß Lafferde with running water. Today, the Lafferde market, which is known far beyond the region, takes place at its foot every year.
