Thermal spa Salzgitter-Bad
Thermal spa Salzgitter-Bad
Directions
Start at the thermal spa and turn right onto Bismarckstraße. After about 50 m, turn right onto a small path called Birkenweg. At a forest road, turn right again and you will reach the forest inn Hasenspring, where you will find the 16th stamp station. Behind the inn to the left, continue through the forest to the edge of the woods and to the golf course. The Jakobsleiter is part of the sculpture trail, which consists of ten steel sculptures by international artists. Enjoy the idyllic path towards Liebenburg (approx. 1.5 km hiking trail no. 5 and Calenberg-Harz long-distance trail). Then turn left (no. 7) to Burgberg and to Liebenburg Castle. The 3rd stamp station awaits you at the flank tower. From Burgberg, head towards the swimming pool. There, take hiking trail no. 5 and then left onto no. 4, which runs across the forest area. At the end, you will pass a Kneipp basin, the Plünnecken fountain, where you can refresh your tired feet.
