Off Tossens and Eckwarderhörne, you can experience all types of mudflats, from sandflats to mudflats, wade through tidal flats and discover lots of NATURE.
The largest Wadden Sea is located on the North Sea coast between the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. It covers an area of 11,500 square kilometers and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2009. Around 40,000 seals live here, around 70 different species of fish, as well as many, many crabs, crayfish, mussels, starfish, jellyfish, lugworms and small creatures that cannot be seen with the naked eye. In total, there are around 10,000 different animal and plant species. All of them live under special conditions, with ebb and flow. A unique habitat that is worth protecting.
