    Real bock beer comes from Einbeck...

    ... and is still brewed in the Einbecker Brewery along with other beer specialties.

    Since the 14th century, bock beer from Einbeck has been considered as something very special. Even Martin Luther praised it with the words: "The best drink known to man is called Einbecker beer."

    As "Ainpöckisch beer" it became a highly-demanded specialty, and via the Hanseatic League it became famous all over Europe. Over time, the name changed from "Ainpock"/"Einpöckisch" to "Oanpock", and finally to "Bockbier". Thus, the city of Einbeck is the namesake of bock beer - "Without Einbeck there would be no bock beer".

    To this day, Einbecker still has high standards for itself to brew something very special.

    In addition to guided Brewery Tours or the Brewhouse Tours, you have the option to visit the Einbecker Fan Shop located directly on the brewery premises (see opening hours here).

    Einbecker Brauhaus AG is located in the street Papenstraße 4 - 7. You can walk from Market Square to the brewery in approximately 5 minutes (400 metres).

    By train:
    From Einbeck central train station it takes on foot approximately 12 minutes (1 kms).

    By car:
    Visitors travelling by car may get to Einbeck via federal road B3. Furthermore, the federal road B64 and the motorway A7 are close by.

    Arriving from direction Göttingen or Northeim respectively take the streets Altendorfer Tor and Altendorfer Straße. At the traffic-light crossroads in front of the square Neustädter Kirchplatz turn left into the street Benser Straße and then immediately turn right into the street Papenstraße.

    Arriving from direction Hannover or Alfeld respectively, you may get to the brewery via the streets Hannoversche Straße, Hullerser Tor and Hullerser Straße. In Hullerser Straße turn right into the street Benser Straße and then immediately turn right into the street Papenstraße.

    Parking lots are located on the square Neustädter Kirchplatz (directly in front of the Einbecker Brauhaus AG) or in the parking garage "Am Brauhaus" next door.
