    Cake based on grandmother's recipes served in a historic setting

    The cozy Oste-Café (formerly Landfrauen-Café) in the idyllically situated watermill on the Oste is open every Saturday, Sunday and on public holidays from 13:00 to 18:00 from the end of March to October. By prior arrangement, the café is also open for groups on other days.

    The small mill café with a wonderful outdoor area on the Oste offers freshly prepared cakes and pies from our own production and something hearty for the small appetite. Or linger by the Oste on a warm summer evening - with a barbecue or midsummer. The offer is varied and changes according to the season. Further offers on request. Why don't you drop by.

    We still bake ourselves!

    In the countryside, it has always been a tradition to bake your own cakes and pastries on Sundays.
    In the afternoon, people would get together, sit down and enjoy the sweet treats in a relaxed atmosphere.
    We still uphold this tradition today at the Oste Café. We bake all cakes and tarts ourselves according to traditional and new recipes. We also offer gluten- and lactose-free cakes and tarts.
    It is our pleasure to offer you a large selection in the Oste - Café.
    All the eggs used for our baked goods come from the Brandt poultry farm in Godenstedt.

    Combine a visit to our Oste-Café with a circular walk on the NORDPFAD Zwei Mühlen.
